About Sarah

My name is Sarah Hall and I work alongside Heckmondwike Tutors, a well established and successful business and have been part of the team for the last 8 years. I have over 25 years of teaching experience, working in a primary school, specialising in maths and English.


My sessions provide early preparation to children wishing to gain a place at Heckmondwike Grammar School, as well as those children who require additional support with the curriculum.


I deliver face to face teaching from a venue near to Heckmondwike Grammar School, with small groups of children. Our warm and friendly sessions currently run on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening, and run for 1hour 25mins per session.

  • How will Sarah Hall Tutors Ltd help with my child’s school work?

    By bridging gaps and developing confidence, a child’s attitude can become more positive. At the same time, our programmes provide them with the skills required to transfer to their school studies.

  • If I join, am I tied into Sarah Hall Tutors Ltd for a set amount of time?

    No, not at all. Sarah Hall Tutors Ltd is primarily a long-term programme, not a 'quick fix'. However, there are many reasons why you may need to stop, so I just ask for a month's notice. 

  • Can I sit with my child while they do their work at the centre?

    If a child is worried about attending their first session, we will work with parents to settle them in. However, you will not need to stay for long as once a child has experienced the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, they are happy to stay on their own. We aim to encourage independent and confident pupils and students.

  • What is the location of the tutoring?

  • Is car parking available?

    Yes, there is car parking available at the church.
